My son's IGeneX IgG and IgM western blots are both positive. He had been taking cats claw but our LLMD wants him to switch to Samento tincture. Do you take it with meals or on an empty stomach? What about other supplements? My son had been taking the cats claw along with his other multivitamins, minerals, digestive enzymes and probiotics. Now I am thinking I need to research this a bit before starting. Thanks for any input.

Hmmm

Ok, I'm confused, I thought Samento was Cat's Claw.

I take the Cat's Claw in liquid form, 7 drops in the afternoon in Green Tea.

I take Samento as part of the Cowden protocol and it has me take it before bed with a few other tinctures. It doesn't specify that it needs to be away from anything.

I would ask your LLMD.

I thought it was a specific form or type of Cats Claw ?

i'm taking ezziac liquid cat's claw but it says "una del gato" (sorry for spelling).

but so far i don't know if it's helping.

i get really confused with samento and cat's claw, TOA or non-toa......too much for my lyme brain.

i need someone who can simply say "go buy this, do this". i'm not capable anymore of figuring all this out.....sigh

I just googled Samento, from what I am reading it is called Cats claw when it has TOA in it and Samento when it is TOA free.

Not sure if I am understanding this right, I have been wrong one other time.........LOL. I have often wondered this same thing.

I also stumbeled upon this article which I found quite interesting, just in case any of you would like to read it.

I take empty stomach (it seems cats claw/ samento works better in acid environments). Never got trouble with it (except initial phase to get used to it back in 2005).

But many take it full stomach. I guess the most difficult is to settle a minimum amount for each person and each phase of treatment.

Some people react better to Samento. But my body prefers whole cats claw, no doubt (rain-tree).

I find cats claw go with most things without problem. I, at least, usually don't pay attention if I take it with other supplements or separate.
