Hi Shoney, Hopping on your thread to say I take it as you know, for babs and maybe bart? But if anyone reading can tell us why Bactrim has action against babs despite it not being an anti-protozoan (?) medication, I'd love to hear the answer.

I've taken Bactrim/ Septra many times unfortunately. I will be starting it again next week with Zith and Mepron.
LLMD uses this as Babs/Bart protocol and is his favorite.
I am not sure which it helped, but it helped.
I test NEG for Bart, but have tested POS for Babs at one point in my long journey.
But I definitely have Bart symptoms.

I saw my LLMD this morning. I've been on Flagyl 3 times a day since Nov 15.
Today he added Bactrim to my protocol, if I could read his writing on the script I could tell you the dosage.
I tested negative for all coinfections, but we all know that means nothing and my doctor even said that today.
He put it to me this way: He wants to attack it from as many angles as possible, said it was time to start getting more agressive.
Whichever coinfection causes the chills/sweats, that's the one he said we are targeting.
I hope that helps. I know I must sound stupid.

Jennyflyer-Chills/sweats could be babs or bart. Then again, could be lyme. What did your LLMD think you had?

He wasn't sure, that's the thing. His philosophy is better to treat the coinfections than not.
