The good news is I finally got to sleep through the night.
I took another pill in the morning and ended up falling asleep again while watching TV in the recliner for 2 hours.
Then was pretty out of it..couldn't answer the phone.
IN lala land.
I am wonder how long this lasts.
I recall trying to take it before and not being able to fix myself meals, etc. So, I stopped.
Will it go away or do I just not need to take it.
I have not taken any since 6:30 am today. It is almost 4 now and I am beginning to be able to function a little bit.
Planning on taking one around bedtime tonight.
But, doctor's suggestion was 3 times a day.

Doxycycline was the only abx that did anything for me. Maybe, it helped me around 10%. I've been on it for over 6 weeks and I've plateaued.
Very tired, too.

Dear Kam,
Try taking two at night for a couple of days and seeing how you feel in the morning.
You may want to get some supplies like food stuff
Prior to this doxy experiment.
Also have someone close come and check on you in case
You need help or need someone to let Rosie out, etc.
I have always taken one in the morning and two in the evening.
You may want to just start with one at night and go from there.

Thanks Geneal. I took 2 last night at bedtime....still up all night but at least I was not moving about.
Went to local pharmacy because I had mis read the bottle.
The date I thought was the expiration date actually said refill until April 2008.
The date I got the pills were April 2007.
Pharmacist said they were good for a year and to throw them out after March as what ..darn..cant' recall her name right now...someoen on this board...did tell me they were ones that become toxic and not ones you can use after the expiration date.k
He said others are usually still good 45 to 90 days at about 95% strength after expiration.
Still have not heard from lyme doc.

For me what you are describing would be a Herx. For me, most of my Herxes have been SLEEPING from extreme profound narcoleptic fatigue...

I have noticed that I get about one good night's sleep a week since I stopped lunesta.
So, I did take a doxy this am and am planning on taking 2 tonight.
So, far I have not had any affects from the doxy this time.
but, I am very low functioning..back to having trouble fixing meals, doing dishes, being on my feet in the apartment, like a drunk bounching off walls etc.
Why would anyone do that to themselves on purpose??

BUT....take care of yourself!!!!! Don't overdo it!! Back off the meds if you herx to where you can't function at all.

Good idea TuTu. Since my brain is so lame it is always good to have others help.
I went out the door a couple of times yesterday and could not lock it because I could not recall where i put my keys.
I finally remembered this am..I had taken them off the key rack which is by the front door and put them in the side pocket of the power chair.
Once I got outside the door, I couldn't find them to lock it...in the quick of a time I had forgotten.
