Just wondering if this had any significance.

I have hundreds of them also mostly on arms. Before my diagnosis, derm said they were senile hemangiomas, which occur in elderly population, even though they all developed practically over night when I was in my 40s! Wish he had been up on Lyme. Take care.

When I got Ehrlichiosis they were only on my arms too.
But I don't know why. Sorry!

ginnyw,
did you have ehrlichia?
Posted by jentytib (Member # 14375) on :
so petechia is associated with Lyme?
Posted by adamm (Member # 11910) on :
Maybe just systemic infection in general? They're know to be
caused by Lyme, Babs, Bart, Ehrlich., and RMSF.

They're also known to be caused by liver problems.
If you're on abx, it might be something to keep an eye on if you aren't already.
Then again, I have them all over my arms and chest and haven't had any abx yet and my liver levels are fine - low in fact.

Mine are mostly on my arms as well. I have a few
on my chest. I was told and you can search the
net, that they mean a system wide infection. But
I also know someone who had Cancer and he had
them as well. It took years after he went into
remission for them to go away.

I think it is common for Lyme to cause petechiae on the arms. My I told my LLMD that I had petechiae, the first thing he said was "where on your arms."
