I had Avelox and Doxy a couple of years ago for suspected Bart. No proton pump inhibitor.

I was told that Avelox was a better drug with less side effects.

However, after mucho reading and still with Bart symptoms, no POS test yet, I am learning Levaquin, Levaquin, Levaquin with PPI.

Is there any literature regarding whether one is better than the other? I see Cipro is less effective. Wondering if that is the case with Avelox.

Currently trying Rifampin and Zith. I think I am herxing.

But if this doesn't work, want to be prepared to try Levaquin if it it indeed the better drug and take it with the proton pump inhibitor.
