Hi In Sweden a vaccine against Tick-borne encephalitis, or TBE is very popular. We have approx 100-150 cases of TBE a year, and approx 10 out of those don't recover completely. (There are 10 000 lyme diagnoses a year... and probably 5 times more who never get the diagnose, but still have lyme)
Do people in the US take that vaccine? I think it's Swedish, and I know that several of our " lyme specialists" have economic interests in this vaccin.
Just curious....

I've never heard of a tick borne encephalitis vaccine. There was a Lyme vaccine for a short period but it was taken off the market because a large number of people became extermely sick from the vaccine (basically chronic Lyme type symptoms). It is still used for horses in the U.S.

Thanks. Confirms my suspicions that it's just a big scam to make money...for Swedish experts on tick borne disease...that is infectious diseases. Anyone else heard of it?
