I was wondering if it was common to have bouts of depression when you're herxing.

I feel blank inside. I have no motivation, no interest in anything. I procrastinate even with the smallest things (taking a shower, doing the dishes, shopping for food, etc.)

Yes! I feel the same exact way. It is defenitely possible

When I'm herxing, I could shut off all of the phone ringers and stare at the wall blankly as the world passes me by.

That's an easy herx.

Then there's the uncontrollable sobbing, anger herx. Hopefully you'll stay with the depressed herx...less scary.

Totally normal.

Hang in there.

Aloha,

Yes the depression with a herx is very common..

You described feeling blank inside...YES, I absolutly have felt this too!

As Clarissa said...I could stare at a wall blankly and just let the day roll by...

It will pass...hang in there!!

Also as Clarissa said, It is lots harder when the anger, rage, severe irritablity, anxiety, and crying accompany the depression...makes it a lot harder to handle... [Frown]

with treatment, things WILL improve!

big warm hugs for you!!

you're not alone!

Much Love & Light!

Completely feel you here. If I didn't have a job and school to deal with I probably wouldn't leave the house or get anything done ~ except that I would go completely insane.

I usually lose motivation, mope around the house, and don't feel like talking to anybody. It seems easier to not have to deal with anybody I don't have to while I'm herxing and my symptoms are flaring up.

So nope, you're not alone. [Wink]

Not only is it common, it's nearly inevitable if you ask me!!

If you're taking flagyl, then it's a given.

Don't be afraid to take anti-depressants....but know what you're taking.

I get seriously agitated, depressed and emotional during herxheimers.

It can be very hard to hide sometimes. I feel bad for those around me.

Hang in there:)

Yep, I get this all the time.

Just today I was depressed and crying. It happens. And I agree with everything Clarissa said. There were times I felt so out of it that I could stare at a wall for long periods of time because I didn't feel good enough/have enough energy to talk.

Thank you people for your replies.

I'm still depressed, but I don't feel so alone anymore...

julie, you are NOT in an exclusive club; we are all in it together!!

i have no desire for anything BUT coming here helping others get newbie package info, llmds to go to, and give a hug./kiss when needed.

it's what keeps me going; rarely do any housework, and dust is getting mighty thick here.
