Dr J prescribed Septra + Zithromax + pulse Flagyl (all oral).

I called his office and his nurse clarified it's Septra double strength.

Are you sure it isn't Septra?

Call the triage number and ask them to check the spelling.

Septra would make sense!

Dr. J's handwriting isn't the best. [Wink]

I have to rewrite his notes or I would never understand them when I get home. I always end up calling the triage line when I am confused.

HSHBMOM: your mailbox is full. This was meant to be a PM but I will forget to send it if I wait.

hshbmom,
I recentally became a patient of Dr. Jemsek and wanted to know your opinion on him (I read a post that you wrote on him). I had a really great first appointment and am looking forward to starting treatment in 3 weeks. I am going to be starting on IV meds and getting a chest port put in.

I have had lyme for 14 years and have severe beurological, cognitive, arthritic, and heart problems. How long have you had lyme? How long have you been seeing Dr. J? Are you happy with him as a doctor? The dr I saw before him turned out to not know how to handle patients who had been ill for a long time and I got worse under his care so I just want to make sure that switching doctors is the right thing to do. I also have money problems and didnt know if he has any fees besides normal office hours. I hope you are feeling good!

Take care,
Lindsay

Justag, did you get hold of the office and get an answer to your question? Did you look at your prescriptions to see if any of the medications matched the ones on your treatment plan sheet?

LuLu, I feel you'll be in good hands.

I sought immediate treatment (48 hours from rash appearance to my first dose of doxy) because my neice had undiagnosed Lyme for over 10 years and I knew the devestating alternative. I can't give you a personal opinion on his treatment of chronic Lyme.

But, Dr. J. and I believe I've had it since I was a teen, but didn't recognize the symptoms.
I lived in an endemic area...an unrecognized endemic area. No one ever got diagnosed with Lyme that I know of, but many people have/had it.

LuLu, I'd like to keep in touch with you. I'll clean out my mailbox.
