I have so much fatigue and body stiffness along with that wonderful anxiety feeling.

I am, on average 20% worse than before starting treatment. All other symptoms are gone except for fatigue/anxiety which has worsened and neuro which has worsened tremendously.

It is very difficult to interact with others, and I never had this problem before tx. And the fatigue is an overwhelming fatigue, its the fatigue where you feel so dizzy and weak that you feel like fainting 24/7.

I mean, I am on A LOT of medicine and I know that thats whats making me feel like death. But 3 months? Is this possible?

All of you guys say that you herx 1 week a month or only a couple weeks after starting a new medicine and thats not what happens with me.

Maybe Im in a continual herx, but Im just praying my brain is not permanently damaged. . I went from being one of the most "popular" socially connected person in my neighborhood and now Im just pretty much lifeless.

My friends have a hard time understanding as well; they know Im sick but its hard for them to understand since I was the most outgoing entergetic person in our crew and now Im too sick to even go out for some coffee or to a bar with them. Im only 21; i know this is extremely hard on everyone who gets this disease at any age but being 21 with it sure does suck. Sorry , venting a little lol

Any thoughts and insight on if you think 3 months herxes are "normal" and if Ill ever get my mentality/brain functions back would be greatly appreciated as I am so fed up right now

I felt very bad when I started treatment. I felt immediately better in many ways when I began treatment, but still had the symptoms you describe.

For several months I would need to hold onto someone to walk. I will say that I herxed one week per month because for one week per month I would get even worse symptoms.

I would mention it at your next appt. and see what your doc says. It sounds like you have seen improvement in some areas. The neuro and fatigue was the last to go for me, in fact, I still get it once in a while.

Amoxy was a very difficult drug for me. I never felt good the whole time I was on it, but I do think it beat down the bugs.

So sorry you are feeling so badly...

I can relate in a lot of ways since I have been on medicines for 5 months now and feel I have not had as many days of seeing improvements as I would like.

My sister tells me it seems I have been herxing for months straight and it is discouraging, b/c you want people to notice you improving!

If you ever feel like quitting treatment, I know how that feels. I didn't feel well before treatment, but I feel I was more functional in a lot of ways ...

Do you keep a careful journal of your symptoms each day?

I find this helps, b/c when I look closely I CAN see days where I was feeling much better and had more energy.

Hope you feel better soon:)

I swear I was in a continual herx for at least the first YEAR. Yeah, it got worse once a month....but it was non-stop misery for the first year and it wasn't much better the second year.

Hang in there, it WILL get better!!

And yes! Keep a journal. It helps track what is causing what and what is helping.
