Just started the Flagyl after a month on IV Rocephin. Will stay on IV Rocephin for 30 more days. Anyone have any experience with these two meds together...I've read plenty about Flagyl.

Yes, I used Flagyl 3 weeks on and 3 weeks off pulsed with Rocepin 2g twice daily 4 days on and 3 days off each week.
Flagyl made me feel like cr** but I think it is important or the Rocephin likely pushes everything to cyst form and not using something to address cysts while on IV Rocephin likely results in higher relapse rates when stopping Rocephin as the cysts will re-emerge in many cases, maybe all.

I did flagyl while on IV Rocephin-but I think I did 2 weeks fagyl, two weeks off. Although I was on the Rocephin for 8 months.
I was also on actigall while on Rocephin to prevent problems with gallbladder.
The flagyl made me really depressed and tired the first two rounds, but by the third one I hardly noticed a difference.

I'm into my 11th month on Rocephin IV. I've done flagyl with it at least four or five times at two weeks each time. It's my least favorite antibiotic. I can barely make it to the 14th day.
By the 10th day I'm depressed, sad, and it really screws up my GI system. I wish I had better things to say about it but it's just plain brutal.
I do however think it's a necessary evil. My understanding is that it does kill the cyst form of lyme off.

It was cycled 2 weeks on 2 weeks off. After 4 months this was what got me out of bed after years - I then moved on to Bicillin with Tinidazole and Ketek

Ended up losing my gallbladder doing this and set me back a great deal. Still think the gallbladder is not a passive organ and this has slowed recovery. Hope you have a dr. looking at those liver enzymes real close and communicates well and quickly.
Pulsing and using less intense therapies helped me more, but we are all different.
