So if you are negative that would mean no bands were positive or IND.. right??

Just wondering...

I'm feeling like the worst Mom right now.

I had my 3 year old son tested last September through IgeneX.

When the results came in the doctor's office just called us.

My dh was the one who answered the phone and was told the results were negative. Yay!

Well I kept meaning to go get the actual copy of the results but never did. Just kept procrastinating...

I finally went to get them but the office didn't have a copy...

So I called IgeneX and they are going to send me a copy. I should of asked while I was on the phone with them if there were any positive bands.

I just keep thinking about the "window of oppurtunity". What if my son has this and I waited too long??

He has no symptoms. I'm just wondering if the dr. would of told my dh if any of the bands would of been positive. If there are any bands positive (even just 1) does it mean he probably has Lyme?

I should be getting the results any day now. I'm so scared to open them! I can't believe I put it off this long.

I want to be prepared for when I open them.

For anyone who has had a family member tested and they were negative... what did the test look like?

I'm hoping to see all negatives..

The two LLMD's I have been to have said if there is just 1 IND on the test, then consider it positive.

Igenex even says if everything is negative, you still can have lyme.

My daughter had 41 + and 34 IND. The LLMD considered it to be an ambiguous test and did a trial of abx. When she responded to abx, she got a clinical diagnosis of Lyme and continued treatment.

We did not catch it right away, but because she had so few symptoms her treatment was relatively short. She was symptom-free after 5 months, continued 2 more months according to ILADS guidelines, then switched abx for 1 month. When she still had no symptoms, she was pronounced to be in remission and has been fine since (that was Jan.).
