Does anyone take a probiotic that also has S. Boulardi in it? Looking for a good brand.

Thanks. Hiker53

i know floraster has it, but then i read somewhere on the board someone saying you could get it for cheaper and not have to pay for the "floraster" brand name. www.floraster.com

that doesn't mean it's not effective tho

Google Theralac for its ingredients. It doesn't say it on the bottle and I already threw away the box but I know a LOT of people are advocates of this probiotic.

Nutricology has one. I bought it at Vitacost.

Also, it's in NuFerm's Wholefoods with Probiotics @ www.livingfoodsusa.com

Get Florastor, its one of the only ones that has been tested, proven and put thru trials.

I noticed the kefir I just bought has s. boulardi, along with other active cultures in it.

It is Nancy's low-fat organic raspberry kefir and I picked it up at Whole Foods.

It is also very delicious, sweetened only with agave nectar.

I take florastor two a day for two years. I'm on heavy duty antibiotics for the last year (Rocephin IV, flagyl, ketek). It sure has kept me from having any yeast issues.

Metagenics has a product called Proboulardi that contains more S. boulardii than Florastor. My husband has been on it for two months (2 capsules a day) along with IV Rocephin and Flagyl...no problems with yeast infections. He also is taking colostrum and another probiotic.

Metagenics is a high quality brand that carries various all-natural products. I order mine through the local chiropractor. They also have a website (Metagenics.com)

I have found a VERY effective probiotic. It does not have the ingredient you were looking for though.

This one is Culturelle. You can look it up at www.culturelle.com
Also you can call them at 1-800-722-3476

It does not contain artificial dyes, colors, preservatives, flavors, yeast, wheat, gluten, lactose or corn.

I did extensive research on it before purchasing. My sis and I both have IBS problems. I myself have major stomache issues. Even though my Colonoscopy was clean. Aside from the Renal Cyst.

This Probiotic has helped with Chrone's and IBS from the testimonials.

It survives the stomache acid and intestinal bile, unlike many other probiotic strains.
It also provides a minimum of 10 billion live cells at a time of usage, the amount most often recommended in medical research.

I've personally noticed a decrease in bloating. I have not been on it 2 weeks yet. I will know more as time goes on.

A plus is that they are packaged in foil, individually. Keeps them safe from light , moisture , air and heat. Assuming they are stored properly. Best of all, you only need to take 1 a day. [Big Grin]
