Could this be Lyme Disease? I dont know if I have ever been tested before and I have had ticks on me but no rash that I am aware of.

I have had several tests with no luck of a diagnosis. Here are all of my symptoms (in no particular order) please help me!

-Spotting/Bleeding after sex and masterbation

-No ovulation

-Infertility

-Abnormal periods- lack of periods, constant brown/black discharge (old blood)

-Abdominal bloating- all the time

-Fatigue

-Insomnia

-I lose handfuls of hair in the shower

-Constipation (all the time)- sometimes severe

-Ovarian cysts

-Abdominal pain

-Weird calf discomfort at night- they feel tight and achy and just uncomfortable, enough to keep me up at night

-Nausea

-Dizziness

-Lower back pain, sometimes severe

These are the main problem I have on a daily basis.

I do not have any idea whats going on with me and I can not get a diagnosis.

I have had a lot of doctors dismiss me because I am only 27 and according to them, I am too young to have anything 'wrong' with me.

Im just fed up and want to know whats going on with my body.

I know that something is out of wack...
My main issues are the fact that I do not have normal periods, if I do menstrate, it is only for a day or two and it varies from light brown to black discharge, I do not ovulate and I have the same discharge after sex and masterbation.
We've used lubercation with no avail...
I still bleed.

Now, I am having issues with not being able to 'get wet, even though I am turned on.
Im just at a loss.

Im constipated and bloated (I look like Im pregnent sometimes!), sometimes severly.

I dont know if I might have a few things going on or if all this is just an accumilation of one main thing...gurrr

Also, I wanted to add that Ive had these issues since I have been in my teens.

I also suffer from severe joint pain in my hands, fingers, knees, ankles and toes.

This mainly happens in the morning and night time.

I am not overweight or too out of shape.

You might want to go to the seeking a doctor section and find a doctor trained in Lyme disease to evaluate you.

Hopefully there is one close by.

Hope you feel better soon.

I can't read all your post as my eyes need more white space and very short paragraphs - as do many others here.

You'll get more replies if you can edit your post and put in spacing.

I did see a couple things that have me asking if your thyroid has been checked lately.

At Amazon, or your library, you might check out the books on women's issues by Tori Hudson, ND or Christiana Northrup, MD

- and, as suggested above, consult a lyme specialist for an evaluation. I hope you find solutions soon.

for the dizziness, that can be a symptom of lyme. For now, ginger capsules or ginger tea can help.

You might want to check out VEDA - in the links from the tread below. I know there are some excellent vestibular doctors in Kentucy. I don't know if they also know about lyme. You'd need someone who knew it all (so to speak).

SarahKY,
Everyone gets different symptoms but one of mine was missed periods. I was 20 when they slowed to almost a halt. 5 gynocologists said it was ok. Nothing to worry about. Well, they were all wrong.

After 16 years of searching I found out I had lyme. The periods turned regular after about 8 months of treatment. So please go to a LLMD and find out if lyme is the cause of your troubles.

Sarah,

Many of those symptoms that you mention are lyme and tick-borne disease symptoms.

Definitely, please go to a lyme literate medical doctor to be fully evaluated. Treatment does work!

And any doctor that dismisses you, saying you are too young to be ill, run away from as quickly as possible!!!

Hi SarahK and Welcome. You broke up your paragraphs just fine. That part of Betty's post is in the newbie packet but it didn't apply to this post. [Smile]

I had all of the symptoms that you had. It wasn't lyme related at all.

I wound up having an ovarian tumor. Benign, but needed to get taken care of.

In my non medical opinion, I would see out a really good gyno and request a CAT SCAN, an in-depth transvaginal ultrasound and an abdominal ultrasound. I also had an MRI.

Sometimes we can blame it all on Lyme but fail to treat some of the things that are really NOT lyme.

Good luck and please let us know.
