I'll keep it short. This spring I was treated at an ER which did not follow the clearly established standard of care, despite THREE visits. Due to this neglect, I have suffered a permanent loss. I would like to file suit. If anyone knows successful and tough malpractice attorney, please PM. Thanks.

What exactly was your loss? I can't work, can't sleep, can't function, lost gum tissue and damaged my teeth, lost hair, can't wear my contacts, and no lawyer alive would take my case against any doctor for missing my Lyme.

Apparently, even if all 35 doctors are at fault, you need to be able to pin it on only one. If 35 doctors are at fault - none of them are. They like easy cases, too, nothing that might cause them to work a little for their sushi.

So if you're planning to sue about something Lyme-related, don't waste your time. Lawyers and doctors spend holidays and golf together.

David,
I'm sorry to hear that you've been having problems the past few months. It doesn't sound like you want to detail the nature of them here...understandable, especially in light of you wanting to seek legal help.

Good luck. Hope that you are recuperating.

It's no secret and I'm not shy. They sent me home on narcotics three times when I had a ruptured testicle. Now it's dead and needs to be removed. Granted I have two but it's mine and I liked it better alive. Standard of care is immediate sonogram and emergency surgery if there is any doubt. For all that, betwen my insurance and myself, they were paid about $8,000. If it were funny, that ER would be a joke.

David,
wow...that is unbelievable. I'm so sorry to hear that you were treated so horribly. No excuse for that at all. I hope you find someone who can help you legally.
I'm sorry for your pain and loss.

Aw David,

And you were doing SO well!

Just a couple of suggestions- you might try posting on the CALDA site with more locals to see your request.

You also might consider speaking with the local free legal aid offices to ask for referrals. Or call the local bar association to ask about this avenue of expertise.

Best to you,
Melanie
