So, Dr. H's Redwood City office called me today to let me know that their first available appointment is Monday, with the R.N. in the office.

The office manager said she is very knowledgable and works very closely with Dr. H.

I took the appointment since I am eager to start treatment, and the next appointment with Dr. H wasn't until the end of July.

Does anyone have any experience with her?

I think you mean his PA, Y.L? I don't think have an RN on staff in his office (I see him). Since she's a PA, she would have to run everything by him anyway, so why not? I know she's been there a year now, and that is a very busy practice, so she's probably seen a ton of stuff.

I talked to the PA last telephone consult. Liked her.

She reminded me of Dr. H.

She also was good at following through on things and getting back to me.

It must be his PA then, cause her initials are Y.L.

I could wait to see Dr. H, but his first appointment isn't until the end of July.

I am pretty anxious to start treatment since It has been three months since my symptoms started.

I would see Y.L. - get started as CD57 says it will be run by Dr H and then transfer over to him.

Thanks for the responses everyone. I think I will start with the PA and transfer to Dr. H when he is available!

You might ask if the PA could do your intake and history for the first 60 minutes and then ask if the MD will do your diagnosis and prescribing for your last 30 minutes.

He may be booked until July for 90 minutes appointments but he may have an opening for 30 minutes.

She is great! I believe Dr H comes in for the last bit of the appt. My intake was all with the PA, and then Dr H came in at the end (after she gave him a few minute history) and he told her what to prescribe.

Then they ran all kinds of tests, and he looked them over and we "truly" started treatment.

Both Dr H and the PA are great! I have been beyond happy with them. [Smile]
