I have had two close friends die, who I know had lyme disease. These friends were both diagnosed with cancer. Is there any conection..or did they just become to toxic and cancer took over.

I can not recall this topic ever coming up.

Absolutely...esp. breast and prostate.

When our own DNA (constantly being made) is "undermethylated" this damages it...

Cells go "wild" and replicate like crazy.

Prostate cancer cells are missing PKCD. They thrive on glucose which is PFK dependent which is activated by insulin.

Bb inhibits PKCD. It is PFK dependent.

It doesn't/shouldn't take a genius to make the connections.

Is Bb the only pathogen that can trigger cancer?

Of course not.

I have a friend - an old neighbor - who got pancreatic cancer after a virus.

There are a lot of mean and clever pathogens (bacteria/viruses) out there.

Thank you Marnie.

My dad recently had Prostate cancer. The two friends who passed away had pancreatic and breast. I always thought there was some sort of connection...it just makes sense to me.

I don't want to scare all of you. Cancer usually does not happen "overnight"!

Our bodies have LOTS of defenses that kick in.

D3 levels are but one.

And lots of antioxidants - all the bright colored vegetables and low-sugar berries, especially. Vitamin C, etc.

There are many positive things that can help.

Keebler good reminder for all of us.

We need to remember that associating Lyme with other diseases is merely theory, at this stage of the game. There is no definitive proof that folks who contract Cancer, would not have done so anyway, without Lyme considerations. Could it be a factor? Sure. Is it known for certain? No.

Yes there is. Here is the link for a site I found on the subject.

http://www.personalconsult.com/articles/cd57lyme.html

CD57 NK and Lyme Disease
The President of an infection society which only deals with tick related infections, has been treating and researching the effect of the many strains of Lyme disease on various parts of the body.

One finding is that the system designed to kill cancer cells in the body does not work as well over time, if Lyme is allowed to become chronic. So if you are treated for a few weeks after missing the diagnosis for a year or years, the Lyme may undermine your cancer fighting ability. At least that is what many Lyme experts believe.

One particular cell marker has been studied in some detail by Dr. R. He reports that the CD57 natural killer cell number (cancer killing cells) drops with chronic under-treated Lyme disease.

Some practitioners feel this is a good tool to track improvement, and they repeat it at select intervals to mark the degree of progress.

If you want to use this test as part of your health screen, Lyme screen or to track your progress here are his instructions and references below:

Call LabCorp at 1-800-888-1113. Ask for LabCorp Test # 505026, HNK (CD57) panel.
As an alternative, contact Clinical Pathology Labs at 1-800-595-1275. Ask for Test # 4885, CD57 Panel for Lyme disease

The idea of pathogens (bacteria and viruses) causing cancer is not extraordinary.

In fact, we already know of many of those relationships.

Some types of Lymphoma are associated with Lyme disease----and yes CraigC, there is a bunch of research on it (check out pubmed) that takes this association beyond theory.

Furthermore there are researchers out there that believe many if not most cancers are indeed infectious in origin.

Check out the book--

Slappy,

What you posted, merely states that Lyme can inhibit the working of the Cancer fighting cells. Nowhere in that article, does it state that Lyme "causes" different types of Cancer. There is a difference.

Sojourner,

Find me any studies, that "definitively" show that Lyme is responsible for different Cancers. I bet that you could not find one. I did state that it is possible that Lyme weakens our immune system, thus allowing us to be susceptible to other diseases; however, there has been no clinical studies done, that have shown Lyme to cause Cancer.

PLEASE, please, please...

Read my post on "DNP was a bad idea" today.

A form of estrogen, E2, given at a very specific time...triggers the ***release of Cytochrome C which then causes the death of breast cancer cells.***

I think Bb uses NO, nitric oxide, to bind to cytochrome c and prevent its release.

If we can trigger cytochrome C oxidase (COX), we can then break that bond.

Far infrared looks to do this...stimulate COX-1. We are "oxidizing" Cytochrome C.

(Independent of capase/COX-3?)

Craig... Cancer cells have few mitochondria left...no energy powerhouses. There is DNA damage and they replicate out of control....due to too little methyl (CH3) = undermethylated. Cancer cells are notoriously undermethylated. Cancer cells thrive on glucose...the list goes on.

Prostate cancer cells are KNOWN to NOT have PKCD. Docs KNOW if they can trigger PKCD those cancerous cells would die.

And Bb has a PKCD inhibitor.

(Delta = PPi.) ADP-> ATP looks to need PPi.

Bb has its own way to make ATP...it looks to use Na-ATP while in US...it is Mg-ATP.

Guess which wavelength can "measure" intracellular Mg levels...880nM.

Dr. B...THE Dr. B once "had" lyme...he is battling prostate cancer now. (Cancer doesn't happen overnight...many body defenses kick in!)

Talk to others on this board whose lyme did indeed progress to other cancers...esp. breast.

A friend with lyme was just dx'd with pancreatic cancer. She went on a diet to lose weight and likely made Bb "happy" - all that glucose and amino acids...the doxy wasn't enough.

Can lyme trigger cancer? Oh, yes!!! But so can other pathogens as well...esp. viruses.

Bb is PFK dependent. This is the "rate limiting" enzyme for glycolysis (use sugar to make ATP...but too little ATP). So Bb is lowering this "rate controlling" enzyme level and what happens?

Insulin (from pancreatic beta cells) activates PFK.

But IL 1 Beta is trys to halt this.

We all are familiar with how bad insulin spikes are and how this relates to diabetes. Our sugar loading - insulin stimulating - is bad.

Complex carbs do NOT trigger insulin spikes.

Now insulin is up to bring the glucose level back to normal and any extra glucose around is stored in fat cells as glycogen.

Our cells need glucose...esp. our brain cells...an unbelievable amt.

When blood sugar levels drop too low (Bb is fermenting glucose - all spirochetes do)...we use another route...gluconeogenesis...which releases glycogen -> glucose stores along with amino acids...the building blocks for Bb's protein cell walls.

Bb follows the "cholesterol pathway"...as does cholera. It needs many/if not all of the same amino acids we need. Our cell walls are made of amino acids. So it triggers cholesterol to be made, broken down, made...

If that weren't enough...Bb is seriously impacting many neurotransmitters....really throwing off the levels of many of them.

Bb uses CO2 to obtain a "methyl" group. This will -> our cells being "undermethylated". That does DNA damage. Bb impacts the Na-Ca pump. It needs Na (sodium) to make sodium acetate.

Bb needs Mn to replicate.

And Bb looks to use NO (nitric oxide) to lock onto Cytochrome C...preventing its release and preventing the cells in which it is hiding from dying.

Since Bb has "zinc fingers"...cysteine and histidine bound by zinc, this triggers metalloproteinases which lock onto zinc.

However those metalloproteinases (MMP2 and MMP9) destroy our gelatin and collagen.

Now the path is cleared for Bb...and since gelatin and collagen contain amino acids...they afford Bb extra nutrients for its cell walls.

Backing up...Bb attacks the cells that line the blood vessels...triggering new cells to be made (VEGF = vascular endothelial growth factor). It is "captured" by dendrite cells...Langerhans cells that are always on the "look-out".

They release serotonin to trigger B cells -> T cells

Defense cells come from our bone marrow and are called B cells. Some of them go off to the thymus gland to be given their respective jobs (T = thymus).

Now...the langerhans cells are the ones first infected and they are suppposed to begin the "destruction" of the pathogens outer cell walls (lipoproteins) in order to present the RIGHT antigens (proteins) to the T cells to signal the B cells to make the right antibody. There is a lot of "talking" between the T cells and B cells.

Problem is: Bb has a PKCD...protein kinase C delta INHIBITOR. This is impacting the "signaling" of the gamma-delta T cells...esp. CD4. The gamma-delta T cells look to "happen" before the alpha-beta T cells.

HIV is worse because it actually attacks the CD4 T cells, while in Lyme...they are not around.

At least this is how I understand it.

We are learning at light - ning speed.

It is VERY possible that FIR can indeed work!!!
