Well, this makes # 4 out of 5 of us. My husband has it badly, my twin boys have it and now I have it. Even though I have very few symptoms, if any, I wanted to know in case I could have passed it onto my children. I have a 2 year old that just came back with band 41 only. I will be consulting with Dr. J about her.

I have noticed that I get a slight headache when I don't sleep enough, but I thought that was normal. Also, once in while I get a sharp pain near my ear that goes away after a couple of seconds. My back sometimes hurts, but that could be normal too. I have gotten pink eye lately when I get a cold.

I am thinking of going on Zhang. What do you think?

My IGM was positive for 31 and 41. I had IND 23-25, 34 and 39. My IGG was just IND 41. From what Dr. J told me, band 31 takes at least a year to show up, so I have had this for awhile.

Thanks for your comments,

My opinion is to treat it now while you are feeling well and likely your bacterial load is low.

Since you think you might have had it for a while (your immune system is probably keeping it in check as best it can), consult an LLMD, you'll want an abx and a cyst buster. Once Lyme has been in your for a while you could have the cyst form.

My LLMD says he watches the IgM results carefully, along with symptoms. It is not until you are symptom free and IgM clean that you know you got rid of it.

Your family needs you to stay well for them! Lyme can suddenly take over at any time. Get it fast!

We treated my daughter on few symptoms so she wouldn't get as sick as me. My feeling is, why wait? You will only get worse. It will not go away.

She only required 5 months till she was symptom-free, then we went three months past that with abx. Now she takes herbs for maintenance.

I would treat. I wish I had treated when I just had a few annoying symptoms instead of waiting to be disabled by it.

If you had absolutely no symptoms, my answer would be different.

I too was tested because family members had it, I had some suspicious symptoms, and I wanted to know if I had it before I passed it on to kids. Turns out, I had more symptoms than I thought and more lyme bugs than I thought as well. I too would advise to treat it now before it becomes a bigger problem.

Your symptoms sound suspiciously like mine did for a couple of years.

Then I crashed. Big time. So ill I felt as if I was dying.

My suggestion is to talk to a LLMD.

Maybe do an antibiotic challenge.

I wouldn't wait until you get so sick that you are unable to walk or talk (like me).

I put all of those symptoms down to being a Mom, working, and Katrina.

They were and still are Lyme.

Hugs,

Geneal

I agree with the people above -

Lyme and co infections can Come and Go for awhile
but then it Mostly stays --Jay--

Don't wait!

I did because my symptoms weren't severe like most people here. (Actually my PCP waited)

I attribute my relapses and worsening symptoms after 16 years to not getting treated immediately!

That sounds lot liek me 35 years ago. I htought all those things were normal because I didn't really know what normal was.

Those things are not normal! I agree with the others, treat now while it is easy to do. Don't wait like so many of us and end up really sick and disabled.

Of course I waited because:
1. I thought it was normal.
2. No one had heard of Lyme back then.
3. I lived in the plains states.
4. I never had a rash.

ETC!!!!

Thanks all. I do plan to treat, but it helps to hear that these really are lyme symptoms.

I am considering just doing Zhang because my symptoms are so mild. Have you heard of any success stories with Zhang alone?

Thanks!
