So almost from the beginning, when I started having periods, my breasts would hurt the day of or right after I ovulated. (I was bit when I was 14 or so...)

The pain isn't mild either, it's very, very painful, sore. I don't even have to touch them and they hurt really badly.

Now, from what I know, this may not be lyme related because many people get painful breasts around/before their period. BUT while I was on abx, sometimes after ovulation, my breasts wouldn't hurt at all. I thought it was very strange, but was glad of it. So I've been thinking maybe it's lyme related/co-infection related somehow if the abx helped. (But now I've been off abx for about a month due to previous hematologist appointment, etc.)

ALSO, I noticed that sore/painful breasts is in the symptom list of lyme. So it's made me really curious.

Anyone have this or have any ideas?

I've tried primrose oil because I was told that is supposedly very helpful for breast pain and it hasn't helped at all (even though during college it seemed to help).

Anyone else out there have this???

When I am very active with my lyme and babs my breasts hurt horribly. Sometimes I can't even stand my bra to touch them, [Eek!]

What helps me is a heating bad, a very loose sports bra like the Hanes ones with no underwire or anything from Kmart or another mart.

They have been a life saver for me when I am really in pain.

Also, on HSN.com, Rhonda Shear has a bra called the AHH bra. It rivals the Hanes. I just got into these bras and I think I might like them a bit better!!

I use a dry heating pad by the way.

Hope this helps. [Smile]

Hey D

My breasts are always sore now. I sometimes thought I was pregnant again because that is how sore they get. My whole bosy is sore though, and I guess my boobies didnt get to escape that!!

I am in the midst of amping up my treatment, and my breasts have been very sore.

Sometimes they are sore in the few days leading up to my period, but this time, they started on like day 10, and only got worse. I have almost been through a full cycle now and they haven't stopped hurting!

I am also eating more fat now because I have to with my meds, so I am gaining weight and breasts are growing larger.....wonder if that would make them sore too?

But that is weird that you brought up this topic, because the last month or two I have been experiencing the exact same thing. I am Herxing right now.

I don't even want to begin to speculate what is going on scientifically though, whether it is the bugs causing it or a hormone thing. But I thought I would share my experiences! [Smile]

While I can't say for sure, my guess is that it's hormone related, not Lyme. However Lyme definitely affects our hormones, so in a way it's also Lyme related.

Are you making a list of questions to ask your new LLMD? Good one to add to it!

I don't have much breast pain, but I've had nipple discharge and/or crusting from one of these bugs. It happened again about a week or two ago.

I'm positive for Lyme and babs. I have a bart rash though.
