A huge rumble noise, could hear it getting closer - then it hit. Whew!

A minor earthquake occurred at 11:51:46 AM (PDT) on Tuesday, July 29, 2008.
The magnitude 3.8 event occurred 5 km (3 miles) SE of Diamond Bar, CA.
The hypocentral depth is 18 km (11 miles).

Six, I believe I got a text message from the same person you did!!! I actually called and got through.

Just got shook up some. I checked in with my family down there, as far as I know all family and friends are OK.

I was sitting right here in my puter chair when it hit and I didn't feel a thing in Las Vegas. Says on the news some did though.

Thank God.

It was about an hour before my cell phone would work - and the house phone too.

My daughter got out of UC Fullerton early because a gas pipe broke. She was happy about that.

The TV News was showing silly things like a loaf of bread that fell of a supermarket shelf - making a mountain out of a mole hill again!

Remarkable though - they still report that people should get under things - like a desk even though this has never saved anyone.

No biggie - not this time.

I was SCARED to death! It was reported as a 5.8 in the epicenter in Chino Hills, CA.

VERY scary...and definitely shook me up! [Eek!]
