I am wondering if I've been herxing now for a few weeks or If I'm just feeling poorly from lyme disease still. Its pretty hard for me to honestly tell if I'm herxing or just a sick guy.

These symptoms include:
-anxiety, air hunger
-hot skin feeling especially in face
-return of muscle cramps after they appeared to be gone, as well as joint/foot arch pain
-overall achy and flu-like feeling
-chills intermittently

Some people don't always have defined "Herxes." It seems like you did have a few periods where you were feeling better, so maybe this is in fact a Herx you are experiencing.

I hope my advice is good enough....I have been having a rough couple days....I feel like that is the only suggestion I can come up with at the moment.

Hang in there! [Smile]

Clint.
I alway's feel quite poorly all the time. Constant flu like , sore painful muscles, stiffness, some what like perpetual flu.

I put this down to die off, toxins. When people complain of there colds, I think , ye how would you like to be in this state all the time.

I think die off, so you must be killing some. Thats GOOD.

In the beginning I felt bad all the time just from being sick, then about every 24 days, I'd feel even worse for several days. That worse feeling was my herx.

Now I feel good in general, but feel bad when I change meds or at that every 24 day cycle.

Air hunger sounds like babesia.

I usually feel less crummy once I wake up and get the day started. Then I can feel more crummy as the day goes on, depends. Seems like my Bicillin, Mepron and Zithromax are released on a constant basis, so I guess that why the general funky feeling.

If I try something like Honey with Bee Venom, I get extra crummy. So I guess its all herxing.

Clint, I've been on antibiotics for a little over three weeks. Have felt lousy for over two weeks with all over muscle twitches, muscle aching and burning, weakness in my arms and fingers, arthritis pains in hands and arms... come to think of it my whole body hurts. I could barely lift my iron pan making dinner tonight. It's natural to have anxiety bc these symptoms are also symptoms of other neuro diseases but we have to remember to keep it simple - we know we have Lyme and the most logical explanation for our feeling lousy is the Lyme (or dying off of the toxins hopefully). For the anxiety, have you considered asking for a prescription for Klonopin? It does wonders. Glass of wine doesn't hurt either. You are not alone in your fears. Don't worry, your symptoms sound totally normal for Lyme. Guess that's good [dizzy]

I felt really crummy for the first 3-4 weeks after starting antibiotics. I'm not sure if I was herxing or if it was the Lyme. I just know that I didn't leave my house for the first month of treatment! Two months later, I am out and about, but I still can't always tell at this point what's a herx and what's not.

I started improving about 3 1/2 weeks in. I know that it is miserable and confusing and overwhelming while you're in the midst of it, but it will get better at some point. Hang in there!
