Can anyone recommend any products sold by vitacost.com that fit this bill?

I can't afford to spend too much on these, but I want good quality. I really like vitacost.com as the prices are fair and their customer service is top notch.

My LLMD said to be sure to take these two things with my antibiotics (of course spaced appropriately).

I am taking one Nystatin pill every day as well. Is this enough?

Is it really important to get a refrigerated type of Probiotics?

Hi Seek,

Not sure about the probiotic options but as for the Nystatin I am on two pills three times daily. I thought it was alot but maybe not.

Personally, I would pass on the PB8, the Garden of Life and the pearls. I've tried each and none can hold a candle to Theralac.

Actually, there are FEW products than beat Theralac in my opinion.

I've heard others comment on Nature's Way or Nature's Plus and maybe the Jarrow would be good.... not sure. Culturelle... maybe.

Digestive enzymes?? Forgot to look. You mean like Rutozyme??

AS far as Nystatin goes, one pill won't do much. I took 4 a day for maintenance after taking 16 a day to clear any yeast in my body.

Good luck .. be sure to maintain a good sugar-free diet... That's the biggie!!! [Smile]

Definitely need more than one nystatin a day. At least 4 twice a day. (maybe more?)

I wonder why my LLMD would only say take 1 per day? Hmmmm...

I take 2 Nystatin pills 3 times a day, and the dosage on them is 500,000 units.

There is a brand that they sell on Vitacost called Enzymedica...that might be one place to look for the enzymes.

I would say get a high quality probiotic that does require refrigeration. When I am just taking whatever I find at the healthfood store, I take 4 pills 3 hours after each antibiotic dose. It takes like 4 of them to equal one pill of the Theralac, if you even want to try to compare them.

If your insurance covers them, there are prescription strength enzymes such as Creon 20. It may be even cheaper for you!

Best wishes,

Anneke

Does anyone have good / bad opinions on Metagenics Ultra Flora Plus DF capsules? I had a holistic doctor give me that last month for Candida.

I used the 60-day supply bottle and am not seeing that doctor at this time. It says 15 billion live organisms per capsule. The cost was $24 for a 30-day supply.

The doc had me taking two per day.

Miso actually has good enzymes and probiotics, too.

Many kinds of miso paste at the grocery. I really like the "Miso Master" Red Miso - organic.

I agree with Lymetoo on this one. Theralac is the way to go. When I made an emergency trip last winter and ended up staying for 3 weeks I forgot my Theralac.

I stopped at the nearby health food store and bought what I thought was a good brand, Jarrow I believe. Within a few days I could tell the difference and then it dawned on me to order Theralac and have it sent to me there!

It costs more because it's great! And if you order them two at a time the shipping is free!

Can someone send me a link to the best place to purchase it? Approximately how much does a one month supply cost? It sure gets great reviews.
