Are muscle twitches, tics, and jerks common in Lyme?

I am having a lot of them in my abdomen, legs, arms, and face.

I appreciate any help.

I believe so. I have the exact same issue. It's very frustrating. Mine are mostly in the face and neck.

Yes, it is common!

I have twitches almost every day. Twitches come and go in diff. parts of my body - my eye, my face, my butt, my back, my chest, my arm, my scalp, etc. It's odd, but yes, it's common in lyme.

Thanks for the help. The twitches are annoying.

I was getting scared thinking that this can't be normal.

I am new to Lyme, so I don't know what to expect.

I had body wide twitching for almost a year. Once I started supplementing with magnesium every day they finally disappeared.

Not sure but I'll bet the antibiotics helped as well. I have body jerks and still get them in my stomach, spine area and upper back. My jerks are like a jolt sometimes.

After two years of treating with antibiotics and one year on Rocephin IV, I still get them. They are always at night right before I fall asleep. It has something to do with the muscles/nerves in your body at rest. I do know of a few people who have the jerking at any given time of the day.

Count me way in on this one. It's really scary at first but then you kinda get used to it.

It would make me cry at first because it was just so freaky. Little twitches turned into full body jumps and jerks as I would fall (or try to) asleep.

Since they started, they have came and went. I have days were I don't have any and then days where I twitch a lot.

I wonder if it has to do with abx or something.

Who knows.

YESSSSS,

Many places in my body twitch.

Calm powder mag has helped.

When it wears off I twitch.

The key knowing it is Lyme is the moving and shifting of symptoms.

Peace,

Flagyl, methylB12 injections, and magnesium (magtabs) helped my twitches and fascillations some.
