About a week ago I started taking 3,000 mg. of amoxicillin and 400 mg. of doxycyline. Lately I've been having sharp, shooting pains.

Mostly in my ankles and hands. I've even noticed some swelling in my hand. Could this be a herx? I was thinking maybe it's a build-up of toxins?

I'm hoping these meds are killing the bacteria like crazy. I've never had pain like this so hopefully it's a good sign.

Any thoughts?

I had EXACTLY the same thing for two days straight. It was unbearable. My LLMD asked me to get off Abx for two days to recover. I took a Vicodin for the first time in years because I couldn't stand it.

He was very confident it was herxing. The pain was in my left wrist / hands and ankles. I wanted to vomit and it was a deep aching pain.
