Ever since I got bit, including the one that I had removed and tested for Lymphoma, my lymph nodes are swollen. I had one really big one before I knew anything about Lyme and ended up getting it removed and biopsied because it never went away.
Since then, I HATE thinking about swollen lymph nodes and especially since I started i.v. treatment, I've noticed that I've been getting a lot more.
I bought a cleanse when I went to go buy my probiotics today. I was wondering if that is or is not a good idea after I bought it. Is this going to wipe out whatever good gets into my gut from the probiotics or is it okay to do? It's a 30 day cleanse and it says it is good for lymphatic health.
I want these lymph nodes small again because no matter how many times you biopsy them and tell me it's just a benign inflammation, I still worry about freakin' Lymphoma!
That was an incredibly traumatic event. I was extremely worried, and the whole thing impacted me very much. I can't get it completely out of my mind. He said if you biopsy one and it's good, then the rest are good, and not to worry. But I can't help it!
Aside from the cleanse and exercising, is there anything else good for lymphatic health? Does anyone else have any swollen lymph nodes here and there? I have some new ones in my neck that weren't there before. I hate it!!!
Then you add the sweating on top of that, and I'm back to being convinced I really have it. Someone talk some sense into me, please!

I am having symptoms of lymph swelling too Nessa. In fact, I go to PT where they do lymph therapy and my therapist said my system is very backed up.
I am very interested in responses to your question. I'll bet the lymph system is on overload due to toxins (i.e., Lyme).
I am starting to think my severe neck / jaw tightness is due to swollen lymphs.
What is the name of the product you bought? I'm asking my LLMD about this issue at my next appointment.

Nessa
Me too HUGE swelling of the lymph nodes, my LLMD said it may be from EBV lurking around. I think it may be lyme related, killing off the lyme causes gunk build up and pathogen killing. It is a good sign. When I am herxing they are huge.
Anyway you can stimulate the lymphatics, I've heard the best way is lymph massage but I have yet to find someone who knows what they are doing with this. Regular massage should help get things moving... I also will invert my body by placing my legs up against a a wall a lay there for a few minutes. (butt to the wall).
Other things jumping on a minitrampoline, dry skin brushing, stretching arms over the head a few minutes a day, inversion of body.
If I take lots of Vit C I notice they go down temporarily.

I spoke to the owner of the PT facility today about ways to decrease lymph node blockage. Her suggestions:
- High Vit C dosages - High Vit B dosages - Green tea - Water with fresh lemon - large quantities of water (include sea salt in the water as well) - Liver support supplements such as GI Detox

Who were you asking Lymetoo?

Nessa - find a physical therapist who is trained in lymphatic drainage and make sure he/she knows what they are doing.
I am having great results getting mine moving. My lymphatic system was really backed up and I could feel little bumps in many places. I have had improper instruction and treatment in the past from well wishing chiropractors etc.
Less is more when it comes to this - it's a very gentle technique.
If you are really concerned - and seems like you are - start inquiring about someone who is trained and the links will connect.
