My rash looked like a dart board; a bullseye centre, faint broken up radiating 'spokes', rings, pink, painless, saucer sized with no obvious puncture marks. My doc thinks it was a spider bite. Do any of you bug fans/experts know of a spider (or other apart from a tick) on Vancouver Island that has a bite that shows as a dart board? Any info appreciated.

Unfortunitly this happens all too often!!!!
While it's true that a spider bite can cause many differant marks/rashes, BUT it sure sounds like a bulls eye/EM to me!!! I would insist on testing with a repetable lab and treatment right away!!!!
If your Dr. isn't willing to give you proper treatment, SEE A DIFFERANT ONE A.S.A.P. PLEASE!!! It's just not worth the risk!
Also in early infection especially, testing even a WB may not show anything yet. It does take a while before it shows up. So don't let them wait for results----treat now!!!!
Wishing and praying all the best for you!
