Hi! Has anyone had terrible burning back pain in the am? It wakes me from sound sleep every morning and there is not a single way I can sleep to make it go away. The only time it stopped was when I was on Doxy 200mg a day.

I have not had much Lyme trmt yet, only 30 days doxy 200mg then picc line with Cefapime (cousin to Rocephine).

If you have overcome back pain, please let me know how! Thanks, Jenny

I have it every day along with neck and leg pain.

I noticed that a better mattress helps alot.

Lyme and company (fibromyalgia) actually make us more sensitive to a too hard or soft (unsupportive) mattress.

Maybe you have babesia. My worst spine pain seemed to occur during babs treatment.

No longer have it, but have sciatic nerve pain now instead. Oh joy. Most days it's tolerable.

My daughter is going to a neuro pain doc to get treatment for this. She's had it for four years and is really making it hard to live.

I get sciatica too on my left side.

For some reason my left side of my back is always sore.

When I sleep on something firmer but softer ( if that makes any sense) my pain goes away unless I do heavy lifing.

I too get the spine burning pain, it was one of my first symptoms, and it flares up every now and then, especially when i'm pre menstral. It feels like like my spinal cord is on fire from my butt to my neck, i hate it. I wonder if they ever did a spinal tap what it would show. Hope you feel better!

I never knew what sciatica was untill I started reading.

I guess it means pain that starts in the spine and runs down the leg.

Mine starts in the lowerback and then the leg starts acting up.

Did I mention I need a new bed? Its so hard to shop for one. I mean its not like you can have a trial. Also the new bed smells are the worst.
