I am thankful to be here to give you guys this warning. I started having troubles with my 4 month old (almost) port on the 20th of September. 10 days later I had it removed because they said I had a blood clot.
Turns out part of it had broken off and moved to my heart. They took it out with a cath.
If you have one please have it checked regularly. My surgeon had never seen this happen before but I understand it does happen and I had my in for such a short time. I love rocephin it works like nothing else but it looks like I will be looking into something else.
