Hi! [Smile]

If I get approval from the insurance company, I am going to start IV antibiotics.

My LLMD said that other than being IgG positive, I am not positive for a lot of other things, so she isn't sure whether I will get approved.

Will I still be able to get the PICC line if I'm not approved? I know that insurance companies are very difficult and don't understand Chronic Lyme. Is that why so many people pay $1000.00 a week for their IV?

Tips are welcome, too. [group hug]

Someone else will probably be able to better answer the insurance issues. If you aren't approved, as an alternative to spending that much money, you can always buy the drug yourself (there are some VERY cheap sources for it), some saline, needles and just do the injections yourself. I did that for a long time (and still inject myself with my glutathione). Not recommended for everyone, but a heck of a lot cheaper than $1000/month. If your needle-phobic you could always just pay for a picc (several hundred dollars) and still do the actual injections yourself. That would be easy.

After my insurance rejected home care I read this thread and found it very informative

I think my insurance would cover it if I could get to infusion center daily - too much work now

Thank you : )

This is so upsetting to me. I'm a teenager and I have to rely on my parents to pay for all of this, and if it isn't covered by insurance, I don't know if they will let me do this. I really think this is going to help me. [Frown]
