Or whatever it's called! I was thinking about adding this in - it's a vitamin/supplement right? I've heard good things about it....people even use it for cancer.

Is this is a good decision to buy some or a waste of money?

If it is a good idea? Can you recommend a place to get some, I did a search myself, but I was wondering if one place is has better quality and prices, etc. Or is getting it at a local health store just as good?

Thanks.

I would ask your dr about it first.

I use nutricology brand.

the cheapest place i have found it is at
www.fernsnutrtion.com

www.vitacost.com also sells it but it is a little more expensive there.

Does it help you any? Have you improved at all from it? Also, what to HH capsules do? Are there any herbs that cross through the BBB?

I am using it for babs. I think it has definetely had an impact on the babs because i definetely herxed on it.

i think it can be hard on the liver though. I do get bloodwork done rather regularly to make sure my organs are functioning.

Sorry i have never used HH capsules... but i think some people said they were taking them for bart maybe?

I would start another thread for that one... you'll probally get a response to that faster.

I just started Artemisinin a week ago, in conjunction with Zithromax. My bloodwork is pointing to an active babesia duncani infection, although I don't have any of the distinct symptoms, and I guess there's a part of me that's not entirely convinced (maybe wishful thinking at this point).

I am using the Nutricology brand, which I got at vitacost.com. I know Artemisinin is a derivative of wormwood.

No reactions or herxes, as of yet. It's been business as usual.

Any thoughts on this brand? Only $3 a bottle here since it is about to expire soon!

I am using the artimisia annua extract liquid by Herb Pharm after reading a post by a member who had good results with art extract his doc gave him for lyme / babs. He did not know the exact brand , but this is the ONLY brand I have found after research . AND IT IS STRONG !

I think it is more potent than any ABX I have had , except for bactrim. It is making me almost weak. I have chills , twitching sensations , and feel like I have to lie down after taking it . The herx reaction within an hour is intense.

There is plenty of research that backs up its effectiveness. My lyme doc in Atlanta used it with patients . The extract I take by Herb Pharm is CHEAP . It goes a long way and is concentrated.

from what I have read , it will take 1 yr to 18 months to eradicate the organisms usually . I hope this will help ,and I have been on it for six weeks and it is still kicking my fanny .

hopeandhealth,

you may not need Artemisinin . It would be best to ask your doctor first. It's not the easiest thing to tolerate if you don't need it.

Do you have a LLMD? What are your diagnoses?

If you have babesia, it would be indicated. Otherwise, it could interfer with whatever your current protocol is. However, even to help against babesia it is never to stand alone. It must be combined with specific other ingredients to adequately address the babesia.

Mono-treatment is never suggested with either lyme or babesia and each require different treatment combinations.

The three books below will answer many of your questions with detailed explanations about artemesia, artemisinin - and much more.

As each book and each author is different, I find that having the set rounds out information.
