Does anyone know if the IDSA guidelines are written by the same "doctors" that wrote the article that was published in the New England Journal of Medicine last year?

I have the NEJM article in hard copy, but can't find the IDSA guidelines with the authors names?

Thank you

There are multiple authors. There is definitely overlap between authors of both documents but I am not certain exactly how many authors on each of the documents are the same.

That was a big point of contention. After Blumenthal filed the suit, the NEJM article was written blasting him for doing so... it was written by many of the same people who Blumenthal was essentially filing suit against.

Thank you, hokie, TerryK and Adamm.

The main authors are some of the IDSA and the others are hidden in an appendix.

Same old stuff from the same old tired crew.

But, the NEJM is world renowned, so that makes it right! [bonk]
