Just read 80% of this book I took out from the library. Anyone who read this one buy into his philosophies? He even states Lyme may just be a maifestation of suppressed negative feelings, but it's only 1 page of the book.

I don't know your opinion, but I think some of his advice is downright scary. I have often wondered if there is a connection to past events and your body relates pain instead?

Who believes in this stuff for medical improvement?

If you have lyme, treat the lyme.

While postive thinking is always helpful - and understanding our changing behavior is helpful - this will not destroy a spirochetal infection.

Lyme cannot be treated without specifically targeting the forms and cycles of the spirochetes.

Intention heals. There is something to the strength of our mind and spirit and our thoughts.

I believe that we actually can change things on the cellular level which if you break it down we are all just energy just like all other matter. Think about it.

If you want to read about other healer and believer in Intention and mind and body connection..

There is a talented young man who has special energy healing abilites and is studying micobiology and is spending his time trying to prove the connection.

I have personal expereince with him and have been studying his menthods and overall concepts about how our mind and emotions and good thoughts and also even how we can actually visualize our lyme or other infections and imagine our body and killer cells or white blood cells attacking them and busting them up and also lighting fires under us until we are burning hot and all the infections burn off.

I have seen more improvement in seeing this person and having healings from them as well as my own practice in doing so than any therapy.

This is off stream and i do not talk that much about it but I truely believe in it and my mother too has halted her stage 4 cancer by the astonisment of the doctors.

For real.

We can no longer in the Western Medicine world keep dividing our mind and body. I also think that psychiatric conditions should be lumped into the medical field and not be considered a separate thing like it has no connection to medical health.

We are all one mind and body and the connection has been divided many years ago but not by all cultures. We in the US have gone way off path in this are.

My opinion only.

Believing in Dr. Sarno's book Healing Back Pain saved me from a life of back pain. It is about using your mind to overcome the pain that is caused by stress. It worked for me.

So I was interested to see your post. I haven't read that particular book, so I can't really comment on it. However, I do see a difference between pain and being infected with a disease that is very real. I believe that some of us might need some mind over matter to help our immune system, but I still believe that TBD's are real and must be cured with something other than the power of the mind.

It is possible, however, that I had Lyme for awhile before I had symptoms, and that the sickness was brought on by extreme stress, and is exacerbated by continued stress.

I look forward to reading other people's comments, particularly those of you who are familiar with Sarno's work.
