I am currently taking two 4,000 mg Allicin tablets produced by the Vitamin Shoppe. While I don't plan on remaining on many supplements once i run out, this is one I would like to keep using.
I don't know if 8,000 mg is enough though or if the brand is good. Any recommendations for a better, more effective type?
GiGi mentioned one on another thread, but it appeared be produced in the U.K. My pocketbook isn't large enough to buy specialty products overseas. I need to balance effectiveness vs. cost.

Seekhelp, yes, you are missing something. Please do a search and pull some of my posts on Garlic. There are many, because garlic (organic freeze dried) was my major weapon.
All the information I could dig up over the years is right here on Lymenet.
I am not selling it, I have never bought it anyplace but here in the US, and I don't get a penny for talking about good organic freezedried garlic. Any ORGANIC FREEZEDRIED - NOT FROM CHINA, if you can find it, will do.

Wow 6 a day. I can't afford to spend $80 monthly on garlic. Bummer. I was hoping it was 1-2 a day. That's a pretty price on a supplement. That doesn't even incldue S/H.

I took 9 a day to titration, or until I started to smell myself. Then I cut back.
If you make the effort to learn to test yourself with a tensor, you can adjust the intake every day and will be getting exactly what your body needs and wants, and not waste anything. Effort and willingness is all it takes. A lot of money is saved that way. You won't be taking many of the "must" vitamins that people talk about. It is definitely not so. But you need to look at your own body and not what others do. Everyone has different needs.
This is also in response to your other post - you can use the vitamins you bought from your doctor and take them over a long period of time, but always testing before you do. Unless of course you can return them to your doctor. Most of the vitamins that contain so many different factors do not test well for people and are often not suitable.

I used to be able to purchase a Jarrow brand in an integrative pharmacy we have in our state called 'Pharmaca' until it was discontinued. I haven't ever found it in any other health food/supplement store. We later switched to the biopure brand.

Anyone have positive or negative thoughts about Kyolic aged garlic extract? BioPure is very costly. I can get 300 capsules of Kyolic from Vitacost for $17.00. Has it been a good investment for any of you?

I found this Jarrow product to be great, at less than $7.00 for 100 capsules at iHerb:
From their description, it looks like it is freeze-dried; they say dried at a low-temperature, preserving the garlic active ingredients.
I liked the Biopure garlic too, but cannot afford it at $40.00 for 90 capsules.
I used Biopure garlic for several months, and I find the Jarrow product to be just as effective for less than one-fourth the price.

If the garlic you use has these properties, it will be effective killing the infections if you take enough of it, continuously. It helps to test energetically for breaks in between ( a tensor will do) and if the garlic is still "alive", you will be successful as I was in getting at all the different bugs (antiviral, antibacterial, antiparasitic). It was my major weapon against all the microorganisms.
If I had to fight this again today, I would break it up between the Ozonated Rizols and Organic Freezedried Garlic. Ozonated Rizols were not well known here when I was after the bugs almost eight years ago.
The freeze drying protects the active ingredients for garlic to do its job.
From one of my many earlier post about garlic:
The medicinal properties of fresh garlic have been known for centuries and it has been the mainstay `anti-infective'of numerous civilications through the ages.
The problem that has arisen in presenting garlic as a supplement is the inherent instability of the initial active substance, allicin, which is created when a clove of garlic is crushed.
Allicin is not found, as such, within the garlic clove, instead, when the clove is crushed, allicin is formed instantaneously from the interaction of an enzyme called alliinase on a precursor of allicin called alliin.
By selecting the highest quality of garlic cloves, rich in alliin and alliinase, and then gently freeze-drying them, a concentrated powder is produced which only releases the prime active allicin component when ingested and rehydrated, i.e. all of the allicin is released within the gastrointestinal tract. This is exactly how the highest possible potency garlic is presented as a concentrate with all of the active components intact,
This way it is an active concentrate of freeze-dried garlic rich in alliin and alliinase, which releases high levels of allicin directly in the gut when ingested and rehydrated.
We take the freeze dried garlic after the last bite of the meal.

We used to take Pharmax's Freezedried Garlic, but because it was not made from organically grown garlic, we stopped. Garlic is a great metal-collector in the body as well as where it is growing! I do not use any garlic from China. I tested it in the store with my tensor and a pesticide and metal vial, and the tensor just about flew out of my hand. So be careful what you swallow.)

Also... Do you feel the rizols are a good at killing the microbes??
I am debating going back on ABX... I have been off for over 2 months... but thinking of incorporating them back in with my natural tx.

Unexpected, all I can say is that Dr. K. discontinued the Zhang garlic a good 6 years ago. He used one or two of the other Zhang products, but not the garlic. I originally introduced him to the Zhang products. I do not know if he is still using any Zhang now, because I have not seen him as a patient in years.
The Rizoles are extremely effective. You can choose among the ten different ones. Choosing by energetically testing is best. The body does change on and off switching to different ones over time. I still own all the Rizoles in my house pharmacy - it is wonderful stuff. I use them externally and internally for all sorts of needs. I was really well on my way being well when the Rizoles came in. But I know that many patients are using them with good results. Starting slow, again testing how many drops and increasing or decreasing as the body needs.
