We recently received our test results from Igenex and are confused by the results. The non LLMD PC that signed off on the testing is considering the test results as negative - but I disagree.

Here are the results:
LYME IgG Western Blot
**31 IND
**39 Positive
**41 Positive
**83-93 Positive

LYME IgM Western Blot
**39 IND
**41 IND

IFA B Burgdorferi G/M/A
Negative

Genomic B burgdorferi
Negative

Plasmid B burgdorferi
Negative

We are just really confused! His amonia levels are also very high and they now want to do a liver biopsy. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

I'm not a doctor, but I believe mine and most others I know would say YES. Go to the section for finding an LLMD.

**83-93 Positive

This is a POSITIVE LYME TEST. Please note there is a difference between what the CDC tracks for disease survalence, and your sick son.

Please immediately find a LLMD and ALSO get tested for common co-infections; babesia, bartonella etc. You can google lyme disease co-infections or look here.

Your Dr is just plan wrong--- Also Lyme Disease is a CLINICAL DIAGNOSIS and NOT A SIMPLE YES/ NO BLOOD TEST.

Also please print out and read this explanation of the Western Blot test.

Also just a heads up it's Lyme and not Lymes-- thanks. Also please get checked for co-infections.

Absolutely a positive.

This is a positive. It doesn't get clearer than band 31 and 39 positive. Plus, your symptoms are right on. A good LLMD would of diagnosised you by your symptoms alone. Run from that doctor as quick as you can. If he doesn't know that is a positive test he knows nothing about Lyme. I too am in Georgia and had 4 or 5 doctors tell me there is no Lyme in Georgia. I went to a LLMD in Charlotte who clinically diagnosised me and then the positive tests came back including a PCR to back him up.

You have Lyme.

I don't usually get on here and tell people I think they have Lyme, but it really sounds like you do.

I would also seriously consider babesia, even in the absence of positive bloodwork, because of your high liver enzymes and fatigue. Then again, could just as easily not be babesia, but please don't rule it out. (don't rule any of the co's out!)

Best of luck to you.

It is positive for lyme disease. Got directly to LLMD.

Please post in Seeking a Doctor section with your city and state.

That way we can help you find a LLMD.

Given your symptoms and bloodwork,

I believe that a LLMD is the best doc for you.

Hugs,

Geneal
