hi all,

this week my 1st cousin emailed me and asked me to call someone to discuss my fibromyalgia. he felt she might be able to help me, and that's all he said.

well i called; eventually it come it she is a RELIV nutrients dealer, and asked me to go to their site to look at their video, etc.

after viewing, to call her who then wanted to get on her partner who has fibro bad, and how much this reliv has gotten her so much better.

i viewed the video, and studied their site somewhat and saw a few of their products but NO $$$ are mentioned.

many have the herbal stuff many of you are on; cat's claw, echinau/sp, root, etc.

is there anyone using this and how much progress have you noted on it? i try to keep an open mind since i've tried so much over the years.

thanks for any assistance you can give me. [Smile]

Betty,

I just did some digging around and googled Reliv in search bar. It is MLM and a pyramid type co. The miracle cures they are touting are screaming "stay away"

When I googled Reliv, on the left there is a bar of different subjects on the product like miracle cure, complaints etc.

The products look expensive and seems to contain soy which is not good. Fibromyalgia is a name for symptoms. It means "achey muscles"

I always think of fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue as being symptoms of infection. Isn't it how we feel when we get the flu?

Anyway, don't mean to sound negative, just don't want to see you throw away any more money.

Find out exactly what herbs are in the product she is trying to sell you. I didn't see the herbs you mentioned, maybe I missed it.

You can probably get them at the healthfood store. Oh, I saw one product someone said was $61.00

Hope this helps a little,

Gael

My acupuncturist had given it to me. I had problems when I stopped using it. I had hot flashes and noticed that I had hair growth in places I didnt want:( Probably threw my hormones off balance. But I did notice I had been craving it. When I searched online I read someone said that they felt addicted to the stuff. I dont think soy products are healthy according to Mercola.

bettyg - the main product has unfermented soy as a main ingredient. Unfermented soy is not digestible at all. (can post specific reasons if you want that).

Did computerized testing on some people who used it for a while.

2 major things - adrenals still fairly stressed on most females and most people had to keep taking it about forever. IMO anything you have to take forever is not healing you.

And if you take a couple of their products it is $$$$$$!

Betty,

I tried it for at least 6 - 8 months and never felt any different. I know some people swear by it. My mom was selling it so I really wanted it to work for me. *sigh*

I know plenty who tried it and didn't like the taste and the mixing of the stuff. Don't know if it will work for you or not. Being an MLM is NO reason not to try it.

MLM's usually have great products.

Betty,

MLM = Multi-Level Marketing (pyramid structure)

Being an MLM does NOT mean it's a pyramid. Pyramids are illegal.
