I have been having terrible migraines really frequently for decades. In retrospect I've had LD & co's for all or most of my life. They have been really bad in the last few months.

Usual for me is 2-3 migraines a week. But I've been having them up to every day, and even several in a day sometimes (get rid of it or dull it with meds, then get it back again---or never get rid of it all the way). I'm at my wits end with them.

I just saw the LLMD again last Fri., after a long stint of not going, as I was treating with alternatives to abx. Now I just started up with doxy orally, and will go back to Bicillin shots. And grapefruit seed extract.

I'm thinking two things: I should have lobbied harder for IV right off the bat (he said he would give it to me if after a months this regimen wasn't helping).

Or, I just read the post about Pseudo Tumor Cerbri and wondered if I have it?! It just feels like my brain is too big for my skull. And I have all of the other symptoms in spades. Although I had a thorough eye exam a month ago by an opthamologist who is Lyme Literate, so I don't have it affecting my optic nerve. But all the symptoms are LD symptoms!

Help--any feedback? I do go to a neurologist, who is a headache specialist, and have gone for years. I have meds for the migraines (it takes 3 meds, incuding Vicodin). I also have been getting Botox for migraine prevention for 5 years, which helps. I take a beta blocker and tons of supplements to prevent, etc., etc. Thank you.

PTC can be caused by doxy. I'd talk to doc about getting off of that.

I suffered with constant migraine headaches for years. I tried dozens of things, went to lots of doctors. Nothing helped much.

Then I discovered my vitamin 1,25D level was high (and 25D low, as is true for many lymies). Headaches are one symptom of high 1,25D. I stopped consuming dietary vitamin D (fish is very high) and stopped light expsosure, and within a few days the headaches began to ease, and have stayed away. Then I began treating the cause, the infection.
