Hi everyone,

I was taking my magnesium for a while and sort of fell off the wagon and stopped taking it. I am now back on it again but I am almost out of it and need to get more.

My tachycardia is getting the best of me so I am hoping a good magnesium will help. My LLMD also never checked my vitamin levels so I started taking B complex and D3 a few days ago to see if that helps.

The brand of magnesium I have that my LLMD sold to me is Magnesium Malate Chelate.

Some people have told me to not get magnesium the contains calcium because it does not absorb as well.

I see Dr. B recommends Mag-tab SR.

What are the best brands for magnesium? Would the Mag-tab SR be okay?

Thank you!

I like the Source Naturals Ultra-Mag, because it has four kinds of the more easily absorbed:

Magnesium 200 mg each tablet,
(as magnesium citrate, taurinate, malate, glycinate and succinate)

Carol's advice is excellent. Taking B-6 (or P5P) at night will help it work, too.

You can take 1,000 mg or more a day - to bowel tolerance and then back back down.

Your calcium can be in your multi - or lots of leafy greens, etc.
