Like, right behind your eyes?

I feel a blank spot, if that makes any sense at all.

Probably because there is apart of your mind that isn't working. Hypoperfusion anyone?

Literally, pieces of you are missing when the machinery isn't working correctly or at all.

I definetly feel like a part of mine is gone. I feel like a stranger to myself these days. It takes away your self confidence, your ability to socialize; it changes the way you look at the world. It's part of the reason that I tend to isolate myself from the outside world.

So hypoperfusion causes the areas to not function at all? That's exactly what it feels like.

Hypoperfusion simply means there is a decreased amount of blood flow, not that the area is entirely shut down. Deficits appear when hypoperfusion is present, depending where the deficit is, the individual will experience symptoms related to that.

I think I understand. I am sorry for your troubles.

Not having my functioning brain is one of the hardest things for me to accept. I used to be so smart and "with-it". Being ditzy is so not me.

Right behind your eyes is the frontal cortex. This is the section that makes us most human and intelligent.

I know the feeling you are referring to mazou.
I'm having a PET scan tomorrow so I guess I'll find out if I still have a brain [Smile]

Uh oh, LymeHerx. I guess that's why I'm not feeling quite like either one! Good luck on your PET ugagal.

I feel like a suffering dumb alien.

I only wish I look the same so people can look at me and say "what the hell are you!"

That is so weird. I have this sensation as well. I actually told my doctor that it felt like there was a hollow spot on the right side of my forehead. Usually when I have that feeling I also have increased dizziness and clumsiness.

Yes, ticked off. That's exactly it. If I didn't know I had Lyme, I'd think I had some kind of brain tumor.
