Hi everyone,

My GI issues have been pretty bad lately. I stopped Mepron a few weeks ago because I was just too sick. Since stopping the Mepron, all of my symptoms are roaring back.

My GI issues are not good right now. I am not sure if I should see a GI doctor or not. I cannot seem to digest food and I am losing more and more weight. I have never been tested for food allergies but I try to stay away from carbs and gluten as much as possible. Also, the Babesia causes me to have bouts of anorexia where I do not want to eat. I am just dropping to much weight and I do not know what to do.

I take VSL#3 and good probiotics. I just cannot digest food and my GI tract has never been right since I got sick. I believe I need digestive enzymes or something. I just cannot heal my GI tract and I have never really taken ABX yet so that is not the issue. I am not sure if it is Bartonella or what. I just cannot afford to lose anymore weight and it seems like everything I eat is not digested and moves threw me quickly.

Any advise would be great. Thank you.

Hi Blue,

Have you had a check of your digestive enzymes done? Liver/pancreatic enyzmes?

What about a work up through a place like Diagnos-Techs? They do an expanded GI panel that could give useful info. There are other labs that will do similar tests, too.

There are other conditions that can cause these types of issues, too.

I thought mine were all GI related, but it looks now like they are related to adrenal function. Low cortisol can cause weight loss and GI issues as well.

Hope you find answers soon.

Sending you happy, healing thoughts!

Hi Blue,

Check out the symptom list at

www.humaworm.com

Parasites and worms play a MAJOR part in lyme disease. Cactus is also correct about the low functioning adrenals. Also check out

www.lymephotos.com

A lot of these infections are just hanging out in the G. I. track,

Hope this info helps,

Gael

This reminds me of a lady I know with lyme who ended up having only 5 foods she could eat by the end of her lyme treatment.

It turns out she was full of yeast. Had the white tongue, etc. She now believes she was born with yeast from her mother. Mother and all sisters have always had white tongues.

Lyme meds made the condition worse and worse. She got sicker and sicker. She went to a few different practitioners who specialized in clearing yeast. They told her she had also never detoxed from a flu shot and numerous other things like that over the years.

She got rid of all her problems with these practitioners.

The lyme doc had gotten rid of her lyme and cos, but it took these other practitioners to solve her life-long yeast problem.

I doubt a gastroenterologist will know much about clearing yeast. They don't seem to believe in it.

The Specific Carbohydrate Diet has helped my GI issues.

Thank you everyone.

I do have yeast issues. No matter what I have tried, nothing works. Diflucan, Nystatin, no carbs, dairy, or sugars, garlic, OLE, etc. Nothing takes it away. I have had a white tongue for close to a year and it was one of my first symptoms.

Could yeast be the problem? I would like to get tested for food allergies and clear the yeast. Nothing works for me with the yeast issue.

My GI issues are the worst when I flare when I am not treating.
