Recently I have been doing lots of research on pure resveratrol antioxidant(500 mg day)and decided to give it a try not only for keeping lyme in abeyance, but for improving health in general. (saw this on lymenet as an herbal supplement)
I use this product, but have only been on it for a week or so. It looked interesting and very legitimate. http://tiny.cc/WoWFv
Also, it seems that the Ascai berry has become very popular as well. I would only consider pure Ascai and in capsule form to avoid high sugars.. but has anyone already been using these with some/or any type of good results for lyme symptoms or otherwise?
Any imput would be appreciated. I dont really want to be a sucker for clever marketing geeks.
Thanks

Dr. Buhner recommends this herb in his treatment plan. You should get his book if you don't have it already. Lot of folk on his plan use it. Check out his yahoo group site.
Dr. Singleton in The Lyme Disease Solution may also discuss it.
You may find more info under Japanese Knotweed and Polygonum cuspidatum (source herb names from resveratrol).

If you are going to take reservatrol the key is to make sure it is encapsulated in a special capsule that does not allow the air to oxidize it.
It rapidly degrades when exposed to air and light.
This company is one of those who use the special encapsulating process and is know for producing a superior product. I'm sure there are others that do, as well.
There have been several studies of late providing light on the benefits of this supplement that have brought it to the attention of the mainstream press.
