Has anyone had success with using olive leaf extract for EBV?

My fatigue Dr. (not my LLMD) was treating me with 3grams of Valtrex for both HHV6 and EBV for almost a year. The HHV6 titres came down, the EBV went up.

He now wants me to start Valcyte. I am scared due to the amount of abx I'm currently on (I'm on A LOT). Also, my insurance has some issues with Valcyte.

Would OLE help EBV? Should I try that first, or am I just wasting my time? Is it unsafe to take Valcyte on top of a lot of abx?

Thanks guys!

Be sure to try LOMATIUM. It's an anti-viral herb that really worked for me! It wiped out my herpes simplex lip sores, as far as i can tell, permanently.

I've bought 3 different brands from the internet, just by googling.

It has an interesting history: it protected the Washoe Indian tribe from the 1918 pandmeic flu.

It's in the parsley family, and grows in the dry western plains.

hmm... that indian herb sounds allot like desert parsley? is it the same?

get dr. morton walkers book on olive leaf extract.

its a paperback, less than 5 bucks, it contians incredible science and studies on olive leave.

yes for evb, all viral and bacterial infections, even herpes and aides.

it's worth the read to see if you think you want to use it.

be sure to read dosages for the different conditions, and to get a high quality, whole leaf powder or extact (i used the powder to great effect).

Yes, LOMATIUM is very good. And I think andrographis is stronger than Olive Leaf Extract, in my experience. I had a mouthful of burning ulcers for four straight years. OLE did nothing. Andrographis cleared it up within 2 weeks, with the dose suggested by Buhner in the book "Healing Lyme"

Andrographis paniculata NEES is a medicinal plant that is commonly used in Asia.

This work demonstrates that 25 microg/ml of ethanolic extract from A. paniculata (EEAP) and 5 microg/ml of andrographolide, a bioactive compound in EEAP, effectively inhibit the expression of Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) lytic proteins, Rta, Zta and EA-D, during the viral lytic cycle in P3HR1 cells.

Transient transfection analysis revealed that the lack of expression of Rta, Zta and EA-D is caused by the inhibition of the transcription of BRLF1 and BZLF1, two EBV immediate-early genes that encode Rta and Zta, respectively.

This study finds that the inhibition prevents the virus from producing mature viral particles.

Meanwhile, andrographolide is not toxic to P3HR1 cells when the concentration is below 5 microg/ml, indicating that the compound is potentially useful as an anti-EBV drug.
