I have lyme and babesia duncani and high mercuryl levels. I wasn't making much progress with all the antibiotics so I've started chelation therapy now. I'm about a month in and I'm wondering for those that have done chelation how long did it take to notice something? I'm hoping the mercury poisoning is what was holding me back and that I'll improve now.

I would like to know more about this as well. My daughter just completed her 6th treatment and is feeling worse than ever.

I felt slightly worse after mercury chelation.

Mercury tends to bias the immune system's T cells toward the Th2 side, whereas lyme pushes those cells toward Th1. For me, the mercury may have been helping to counteract the bias caused by lyme. So removing the mercury allowed even more Th1 cells to be generated, which in turn increased inflammation and my symptoms.
