I take it your cycle had gone away. Congrats. I hope that you are having other improvements as well.

Now why is this a good thing? (unless you want kids of course) I wish mine would go away! LOL

That's great news!

My cycles which had been very predictable until about 3 years ago, started getting farther and farther apart. It got so bad it was taking 78 days at one point. That wasn't close to your 8 months, but I think it might have gotten there without proper treatment, and I was getting very worried/scared.

Once I started Ceftin it started getting closer and closer to 28 days each month. Now I am hovering around every 28-32 days.

I was so happy when this started normalizing, I can understand your relief.

I haven't had mine for 4 years, so this is wonderful news....

My OBGYN said I was premenopausal hormonally.

But I never had the symptoms of it. So I was

hoping it was my illness causing it. My other signs

it is improving are my knees. They are becoming at

times red/hot/burning/muscle spasms. I had thought

all along it was my brain that had caused me to

lose my gait. Now I think it might be 50/50. And

did not even know it.

OH Amy. I forgot. I lost my libido or ability to feel. So I am hoping to get that back with it.

Thanks K. Helps all us girls. I have been advised

not to do those hormones for fibro disease I have

to check and compare every year but homeo may be

the way to go! My female problems started at the

same time I told 5 Dr.s I was going blind.

I have not had my period for over 3 years... I'm so happy for you!

I do want to have more children when I am better and I am afraid I won't be able to now [Frown]

Bio-identicals are discussed. And also those from compounding pharmacies. The thing I'd like to avoid is petroleum in these. THAT is harder but there is one place that uses olive oil instead of the petroleum lotion base.

I will say that a bit of bio-idential estriol has helped my bladder problems tremendously.

If something is missing and needed, somehow that needs to come into balance. But it is a complex situation.

Pinelady -- is this a result of treating the Lyme with abx, or is this from taking hormonal treatments as well? My period is still here (but has become very painful), but I would *love* to get my libido back someday. (My husband would like me to get it back too!)

If I could stop spotting I would be a happy camper!

Glad to hear this for you.

My periods are mostly regular... though I'm happy about that, I really hate having them because they make me SO much sicker, flaring up the symptoms I already have, and causing extreme cramps and other issues. They really seem to set me back every single month. No fun at all.

Kim I know what you mean. I need to be me thing.

None of those kinds of hormones here. Thyroid has

been off from the Lyme too. Disturbedme good info.

If it is indeed altered by hormones this is good

to know. Something they might can work on fixing

in us. Thanks for sharing everyone.

My periods actually became more frequent. That was in late stage however. In the beginning stages I missed periods quite often and then when I'd get them they'd last forever. Now, they're about every 25 days and last about a week. Has this happened to anyone else?
