I had the exact same experience with my daughter coming home from a school outing with 3 ticks attached! She had increasingly"strange" symptoms the following 18 months, but never the bulls-eye rash.
18 months, 8 doctors, and 6 wrong diagnoses later, we got to an LLMD. Positive labs from Igenix were for babs and bartonella, not Lyme. I'd never heard of those diseases. Please also consider the co-infections and get the proper testing.

We have her on the minocycline for the next few weeks per her llmd's instructions. We have an appt. in 3 weeks.
He said if she shows any symptoms to bring her right in..I think we got it in time, a few hours after the bites...we think it was a few hours anyway, hard to know when they attached, but the kids were running around in the tall grass, so she most likely picked them up there.
She seems fine, no symptoms. RMSF is all over the place here, so he was more concerned about that than lyme.
Yes, you are right, I had never heard of some of the co-infections either until my son and I were diagnosed. My husband had RMSF, so we knew about that one, and how deadly it is.
His PCP treated him right away for it, before the testing even came back because it can be fatal if you wait for test results.
I'm so sorry for you and your daughter's difficulties. It's so hard to see our kids suffer and to feel the frustration in trying to help them and getting no help from the DRs.
I hope things are better for you and your daughter. We will keep you in our prayers.
