Hiya.

Some of you folks have talked about vision and reading problems caused by neuro-issues.

What do you call that?

Reading has been next to impossible until very recently. My eyes just can't follow.

I can't read a tape measure, either. Or music or keep a beat, really.

There's a ton of crap in my field of vision that is so thick, I can sit and watch it float around for entertainment!!

Some days rooms look smoky to me, other times I gotta put my face right up next to something to see it.

For a while there, I couldn't see anything with out magnifiers. It was getting worse and worse, so I forced myself to stop wearing them. I felt like I needed to develop more eye strength. I don't know if I see any better at all, but at least I don't feel totally blind without them.

I have blue eyes, which doesn't help, but my eyes are very sensitive to the sun or any intense light. Light changes can make me dizzy. I have huge wrinkles at my brow- One person here called that her 'lyme scar'.

What's up with all of the visual probs? Do these things get better?

Thanks everyone.

well I think the vision probnlems go along with neuroborrelia. May improve with treatment.

Meds wether for the lyme or pain can effect vision. Anything effecting the brain can effect vision.

My neice was born with retnoblastoma (eye cancer) if the tumor was attached to the retnal nerve would mean automatic brain cancer.

The nerve goes directly into the brain.
Hers was not attached and she had her eye removed at 5 weeks old.

She's nine now.

I suggest antibiotic eye drops for whatever is causing it. http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://eyepathologist.com/images/KL10229.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.eyepathologist.com/disease.asp%3FIDNUM%3D324600&usg=__kfxI_LgH

Pinelady, what antibiotic do you think is recommended.

I have wanted to try this with my son, but Dr. J says I need an opthamologist for this, yet they all say his eyes look fine-

Ugh

Hi - for what it's worth, you could try drinking a little mangosteen juice to see if it helps. It cleared up all my eye symptoms. If you try it, drink water with it too.
