I've been complaining of my neurological symptoms seeming to be connected to sugar/starches for over a month now.

My LLMD upped my quality of probiotics and I've been self restricting my diet but have yet to be tested. I am really pushing this now and hopefully they sign me up for some soon.

I don't have any stomach issues...my mom the nurse is doubtful that yeast is my issue and is more convinced it is the lyme somehow even though I only seem to have this problem while on abx.

I'm about ready to scrap all these meds and go the natural route for everything as soon as I get more info.

My docs say that there is no reliable test for yeast. The best test may be to take Diflucan and see if you herx from the yeast die-off.

Are you taking anything besides probiotics for the yeast now. Anti-fungals like oil of oregano, olive leaf extract, garlic, Colon Guard (Pharmax) are essential to getting it under control.

I would suggest that you go slow and don't throw everything out until you have a better idea what is going on.

I have a big yeast problem - no stomach or bowel issues. We are limiting my abx to IM Bicillin with Probenicid and Alendazole for now until we can get it under control.

Good luck!

Thanks for the rescue Betty! as well as the response 4Seasons.

I am doing everything I can to avoid introducing another drug to my body. I've never been a big fan of medications.

I know with this particular illness unfortunately it might be the only way, but it amazes me how nonchalant everyone seems to be about "giving this drug a try" and seeing what happens.

I am scared for people. I read this board and it sounds like some people go for months on end taking certain drugs with no results only to go back on it months or years after that. It seems a vicious cycle is highly possible here.

Anyway...off the soapbox. Yes 4seasons I started taking Kyolic (garlic supplement) as well as popping actual garlic two weeks ago. I also started Yeast Killers one week ago. I also further restricted my diet to cut out all fruit, milk, butter, and cheese.

In the last week my sleep has gone up to a full 8 hours from 5-6 and some of the rashes on my arms seem to be on the decline.

I would like to think this is from the anti-fungal supplements, but during that time I have also increased meds. So what's doing what?

I know basically every test that has anything to do with being helpful in treating lyme is conveniently unreliable =) but not only do I need to be building a paper trail to figure my case out but I also will need one when it comes time to fight my way back into the cockpit.

Again I need to have a reasonable idea of what's doing what. The neurological stuff is all that is keeping me from work and if we can created this problem on our own that will be huge for me.

Thanks again for the info on not having stomach issues. Very encouraging!
