Someone gave me this copy of a newsletter from Childrens Hospital in Boston. Lyme disease: Diagnosis, treatment and referring.
It is so horrible, how may more children are they willing to harm with this BS??
...must have certain conditions for recommended preventative strategy of 1 Doxy, a known tick bite, the tick must be attached for 36 hours...
I never saw the tick that bit my child who was 2 1/2 at the time and it was in the summer the side of her leg, so there is know way it was there for 36 hours or even 24 hours. Lucky for us, she did get a bulls eye rash...
My son had all classic symptoms including the rash. He was still misdiagnosed when we brought him in, but was correctly diagnosed (he tested positive) when his knee blew up.
Only got two rounds of amox... never got better, suffers from gastric issues, & then vision problems started in '07.
After 2 years of getting the run around by our pedi (who I have since changed) and Children's hospital in Boston, we finally found our way to Dr. J....
Although they are a great hospital, have had some good experiences there with other isues, not surprised by their stance when it comes to lyme.

Yeah, it's so sad to see wrong information by a major medical group.
I know a doctor who saw a man get bitten by a mosquito at a picnic. Twenty minutes later, that man had a huge spirochetal rash - he soon developed lyme, backed by testing.

dp, thanks for printing; so much HOG WASH in it like you pointed out.
i found other areas wrong as well ...
no human to human spreading;
vaccine they created was REMOVED from market but they used another phasing and nothing about it being REMOVED & NOT SAFE!
it was 1st article on right that had so many wrong statistics, etc.
