Anybody experience random pain cropping up in the places on your body where you have sustained some kind of trauma in the past?

I guess you can call that getting older, but serioulsy, I feel like I've jumped out of a plane without my chute... and the came lyme...

For example: I've been experiencing deep pain all round the left side of my pelvis, top to bottom, from my mid-ribs down to my knee. Soft tisse and bone pain.

I couldn't figure it out. But then it occured to me- 10 years ago, I had a really bad skateborad wipeout. When I hit the ground, I landed on my left elbow and hip and ended up with a humongous bruise on the left side.

The soft tissue pain feels just like that old injury. What do folks make of that?

(and then there was the time I did a front flip off a horse and landed on my back- pelvis first)

Anybody venture to guess why lyme settles in sites of old injury?

Thank god for heating pads!! [Smile]

My 2 cents...

Areas that were injured, caked with scar tissue and/or avascular areas are safer for bugs to set up colonies -- perhaps by avoiding the body's natural immune defenses that are carried by blood. There, they can set up biofilms, reproduce, change forms, stay dormant for decades...how incredibly sophisticated they are! Little ****ers! [Mad]

There's more to it, for sure. Strange and complex indeed -- but an excellent question. If you are curious, read up on enzymes and how they can break down the walls of collagen/biofilm/scar tissue/kitchen sinks. I am currently taking serrapeptase and seeing results.

A new injury, or a re-injury can restart this degenerative cascade process. That's what happened to the author of "Rheumatoid Arthritis: The Infection Connection." It's comprehensive book on RA and is $10 on Amazon.

The same thing happens to me. Old soft tissue injuries "flare up" when I herx.

Even what I think are candida herxes cause the "flares."

I'm taking bolouke. Hope it's helping. Too soon to tell.
