I think I've read posts on this before but don't remember the content.

I've been having horrible anxiety in the morning right after I wake up. For awhile it wasn't as bad but it's back now.

I can feel it in my stomach but my head is the worst. It's hard to describe but it's like my thoughts trigger some kind of panic, and they could be as simple as thinking I have to get laundry done.

I don't understand where it's coming from, and I don't want to take any more ativan.

Any ideas??

I had that WAY back in the days before I was diagnosed, along with insomnia, and pain. Some doctor prescribed Cymbalta for my pain. Didn't help the pain, but it did cut back on my anxiety issues.

Mornings were bad....I remember, like how can you possibly wake up and have anxiety from the moment you open your eyes?!? I had it throughout the day, as well. Felt like I was always having a low grade panic attack.

this current lyme infection has caused me ot have anxiety as my number 1 symptom.

it is getting alot better after being on the abs for 6 days now but i still get it at bedtime and sometimes on awaking.

mine was really in the stomach and i couldn't eat and lost weight which caused more anxiety.

finally got my igenex results which confirmed lyme and believe it or not that helped alot.

i never took a anti anxiety pill in my life but i have taking a xanax at night a couple of times and it helped.

worrying about the anxiety makes it worse but sometimes you can't help it.

good luck

My anxiety lasts all morning. I find its worse when I haven't eaten due to drop in blood sugar level.

I haven't found anything natural to help it. Mine is flaring again now since starting salt/c.

yes morning anxiety is a terrible daily problem

for me, it takes about 2 hours for it to get

less, but for the first 2 or 2 1/2 hours, i am

rocking back and forth, leg shaking, feel so

tense and angry and could rip someone's head

off!, it feels terrible feeling so hyper in my

head, stomach, whole body!

When you say you don't want to take anymore ativan.

Do you mean increasing your dosage or not taking benzos at all?

Do/Did you take it every day or as needed?

Ativan has a terribly short half life and you will get a tolerance and it also causes rebound anxiety.

If you are a daily user than you need to switch to something with a decent half life like klonopin, discuss this with whomever prescribed the ativan.

If you are a just as needed user disregard this.

Morning anxiety is a symptom that tons of people complain about so your not alone or imagining it.

I didn't want to increase the ativan.

I do take it every day now and I didn't want to build up a tolerance to it, but I think I have.

I've tried klonopin but it puts me to sleep at even a tiny dose. Good for at night but not so much during the day!

Anxiety really is the worst for me. That and the brain fog. If those two things would let up I would feel so much better.

Sorry but Ativan half-life isn't short term it ranges between 10-20 hours. That to me is long but Klonopin is between 18-50 hours. They both work fine.
