What can you tell me about this test and it is quite accurate as my daughter is getting it done soon, she has had lyme for four years and off/on antibiotics. What will this test tell me? We are doing it at LabCorp.

Dian,

My LLMD has explained to me that it is a measure of how lyme has impacted your immune system. Below 60 is abnormal while she prefers her lyme patients be at least 120 when going off abx.

It is a perplexing test at times, and it is not always considered reliable because some who are VERY sick have a normal count. These folks are presumed to have coinfections or viral infections.

Mine was a 45 at the beginning of treatment when I was very sick, and I am currently in remission and it was a 45 at the end of treatment when I felt very good.

It is not considered a good marker for lyme, but beneficial to those who always get a negative test result.
