I'm wondering if everyone who has Lyme and co-infections also have gluten and other food allergies.

Gluten is a BIG NO for me. When I eat it I get all kinds of inflammatory symptoms.
Then when I detox the gluten, I get fibromyalgia symptoms.
I avoid pro-inflammatory foods in general and have a yeast problem, so I do the candida diet, too.
I had ELISA allergy testing, and I don't know that it was worth much. The ELISA test told me I'm allergic to everything under the sun. Not true.
Then I had a traditional allergy test (the back scratching test). They told me I wasn't allergic to anything.
I just went on an elimination diet on my own and figured out what I can and cannot handle.
You can cheat sometimes depending on how you feel.

I had a lot of trouble with gluten when I was sick with Lyme. I couldn't eat it at all ... if a crumb got on my food, it would make me very ill.
Now, I can eat anything.

I was shocked to find out I have gluten, milk and soy sensitivities.
I was tested for these things about two months after beginning treatment for Lyme, Babs and Bart.
Having eliminated those foods from my diet has made me feel noticeably better although I am still sick from Lyme, etc.

Yes, I also have sensitivities to gluten, corn, sugar cane, milk, and other foods.
I definitely notice less pain when not eating the offending foods, especially sugar and corn syrup/high fructose corn syrup.
